Groupe Novelty invests in Yamaha digital consoles

French rental company Groupe Novelty has made an investment in 12 Yamaha QL1 digital consoles for the company’s audio rental stock. “The QL1 is the ideal size and format for many of the events we work on and it is an exceptionally cost-effective solution,” says Jérôme Gasselin, Directeur technique at Novelty. “In addition, most sound engineers and technicians know Yamaha mixers, so they are very used operating them.

“Another reason for purchasing the QL1s was that we use Yamaha CL consoles and R-series i/o units on our events. Adding the QL1s means we can also integrate them easily into larger systems using Dante and the wide compatibility offered by the onboard MY-series card slot.”
