MDG releases new fog generator

MDG releases its most powerful fog generator, the Me8, at Prolight + Sound 2016 in Frankfurt (Hall 3, Stand E19). The biggest of the Me Series, the 8-nozzled Me8 pumps out 800 m3 of fog per minute and uses 8 L of MDG fluid an hour at maximum output. Designed primarily for large-scale applications, both indoor and out, the Me8 is also usable for fire fighter and military training, ventilation testing and special effects for movies.

Like all members of the Me Series, the Me8 benefits from a 1%-100% variable fog output that can be controlled directly from a lighting console or via local control, a 100% duty cycle that guarantees high-quality, consistent fog at all levels of output, and MDG’s Automatic Purging System (APS). Control options on-board include 3 standard USITT DMX512 channels, XLR-5 connectors, a 4-button LCD user interface and RDM compliancy.

MDG’s Me Series can be customised to operate with an auto-refill function, from a central pump system or an external fluid reservoir, for long-term use in permanent installations. Weather-resistant enclosures for outdoor applications are available on request.
