Miranda Lambert’s “Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars” tour reprised the name of her first headlining tour in 2010. It followed her “Certified Platinum” tour earlier in 2015 and featured an all-female lineup. “This was a 13-city tour playing a lot of the markets that Miranda hasn’t been able to hit in recent years,” notes Nashville-based production designer Chris Lisle.

“The design of the show was pretty straightforward with three overhead trusses and a floor lighting package. We also had some soft goods and scenic pieces that played heavily into the design. Miranda wanted to keep this one simple, so there were no video elements.”

Lisle selected 20 Clay Paky B-Eye K20s for the rig. Ten each were in midstage and upstage trusses alternating with spot and beam fixtures. “For some songs we used them as wash lights, on others we dialled into the macros in Shapes mode to create some visuals and effects since we had no video,” Lisle explains. “We also used the lens rotation quite a bit.” Bandit Lites provided the equipment for the tour.
