Chauvet fixtures used at Les Petits Chanteurs de Laval show
Érik Nowosielski-Lamoureux recently lit a performance by the world-renowned children’s choir Les Petits Chanteurs de Laval that was produced by RobinSon Productions. Nowosielski-Lamoureux used a collection of Chauvet Professional Rogue fixtures that were part of the Maison des Arts de Laval in-house rig.
“I was once a member of this choir, so it has a special meaning for me,” says Nowosielski-Lamoureux, who is now studying A/V technology at Cégep du Vieux Montréal. “This was a choir talent show, and I wanted to support it with a very cool and different lightshow. I put a lot of my own time into this project.” He deployed 16 Rogue R2 Wash fixtures and 7 Rogue R2 Spot units in his rig.
Most of the Rogue R2 Wash fixtures were hung on four truss structures, four per unit, while the remaining four were arranged on the upstage deck. Nowosielski-Lamoureux hung three Rogue R2 Spots on upstage truss, hung two on mid-stage truss and positioned two on upstage road cases. From these positions, he was able to direct light on the stage from multiple directions while creating backlighting, downlight and a variety of wash effects.
