Lawrence Ware

Boston-based lighting designer Lawrence Ware has joined the team at 3LR Design. As Design Associate, he works alongside 3LR Consultants as an integral member of the team, providing collaborative document creation and support. Ware holds a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre from The University of South Carolina with an emphasis in Theatre. He also holds a degree from The University of Arizona in Theatre Production: Design and Technology - Lighting Design.

“I got to know Lawrence through my involvement in the 2022 Fred Foster Mentorship Program, sponsored by ETC”, says Josh Allen, Global Director of Design for 3LR and co-founder of 3LR Group. “He was one of only eight students selected for the program, and he really showed a great eye for design and a natural ability to think through technical systems to solve complex challenges.” Ware’s self-described approach to lighting design is “through exploration of the human psyche using perpetual change in order to transform environments in the world around us”.
