LD Systems marks 50 years with acquisition by Clair Global

On New Year’s Day, LD Systems celebrated fifty years of excellence and took a significant step toward securing its future by becoming a part of the Clair Global Group acquisition. This partnership honors LD Systems’ rich legacy while providing the resources and shared vision to set the course for continued growth and success.

LD Systems, based in Houston, Texas, with additional offices in San Antonio and Austin, is a provider of audio, video, and lighting production services and installed solutions serving the US market and beyond. From its founding in 1975 - when two college students rented professional sound equipment out of a garage - to its current team of experts working on projects as notable as RodeoHouston and Lollapalooza, LD Systems has established itself as a well-respected technology provider in the live events industry. Additionally, the company offers design and full systems integration throughout the United States.

“With this union, Clair will provide a good home for the full offering of our services”, says Rob McKinley, co-founder and General Manager of LD Systems. LD Systems offers a multi-disciplinary approach to servicing large-scale special events proven by its storied list of clients including March Madness Music Festival, the NFL Draft, and the Austin City Limits Music Festival. The company has also provided systems integration for the NFL’s NRG Stadium, the 64,000 seat Alamodome in San Antonio as well as numerous other sports facilities, houses of worship, and performance venues.
