Work Pro adds new speakers to its WFS range

Work Pro, the installation and pro audio division of Equipson, will add two new models to its WFS range of Outdoor Projector Speakers: the WFS 4 CX and WFS 6 CX. Both are designed to project audio over long distances, while their IP ratings make them suitable for all outdoor applications including theme parks, aquaparks, shopping malls, stadia and train stations.

The WFS range is also suited to indoor environments such as swimming pools, auditoria and arenas where sound has to travel a long distance. The new models join the three existing models in the WFS range of passive, two-way, full range projector speakers: the WFS 5 CX, WFS 500 CX R and WFS 10 CX R. All have an IP66 rating, the highest level of waterproof protection available according to the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standard.

With a power rating of 150 W @ 8 Ohm, the WFS 4 CX combines a 1.5-inch compression driver with an 8-inch coaxial transducer to handle the high and low frequencies and deliver consistent coverage across the entire vocal range. The WFS 6 CX also features a 1.5-inch compression driver, combined with a 12-inch coaxial transducer. Dimensions of the WFS 4 CX, which weighs 9.1 kg, are 390 x 370 x 330 mm, while the WFS 6 CX measures 540 x 500 x 500 mm with a weight of 20.3 kg.

Both models are available in a white weather-resistant fibreglass enclosure, as well as the standard black enclosure that is common across the entire range. Both offer two connection modes - low impedance 8 Ohm and 70/100 V line - allowing them to be adjusted for different acoustic solutions. Work Pro Audio can also supply wall-mounted fittings for installation of all speakers in this range, regardless of application.

All speakers incorporate aluminum grilles covered with protective water-repellent fabric and four-pole electrical connection cables that enter the enclosure through a cable gland, thus preventing water, dust and moisture from damaging the transducers.
