Sylvain Bresson
Sylvain Bresson has joined the Robe Lighting France team as project manager/specifier. He will be focused on developing the business of Anolis, Robe’s architectural LED lighting brand.
With nearly twenty years of industry experience - ten spent as an architectural and urban lighting designer - Bresson’s career started when he trained in Sète near Montpellier in the south of France at Scaenica (Ecole Européenne Supérieure des Arts et Techniques du Spectacle - European Graduate School of Performing Arts and Techniques). He majored in the techniques of arts and performance in the mid-1990s, specialising in sound and lighting. He then further developed his expertise in stage lighting whilst working on assorted theatre productions around France and abroad with a series of state-funded and subsidised companies.
In 2007, his vista expanded to address urban spaces as he joined the Philippe Hutinet Agency as an assistant lighting designer. In 2011, he collaborated with Régis Clouzet at L’Agence Lumière as a lighting designer, working on architectural lighting and urban illumination projects, managing complete operations from the research through to construction phases. In 2016, he embraced the industrial aspects of lighting, joining the Lyon-based manufacturer LEC, where, in a newly created post, he explored the intersection between the commercial networking and engineering teams.
Bresson’s role with Anolis France will involve spending time on the road, mainly in the south of the country, supporting commercial partners, developing the brand presence in relevant regions and among targeted individuals and sectors. He aims to establish relationships and optimise technically and commercially relevant solutions for all sorts of projects.
Some of Bresson’s work detail will include projects previously managed by Robe France’s Eric Tabuteau, who retires after being at the heart of the Anolis France operation since 2018 as Project Manager and Head of Architectural Specification alongside Bruno François.
