Merging Technologies’ Pyramix 15 available
Since joining the Sennheiser Group two years ago, Merging Technologies has been innovating and introducing new hardware, including the Neumann MT48, Merging Hapi Mk III, and Dante options for Anubis and Hapi. Alongside these developments, the software team have been working behind the scenes to bring a major update to Merging Technologies’ flagship DAW, Pyramix.
New features in Pyramix 15 include: Complete UI/UX Redesign - a sleek, modern dark interface in line with current DAW trends; Revamped Mixer - fully customizable configuration, move buses, strips, and aux channels; Clip-Based FX: users can apply effects directly to individual clips for precise control; ARA2 Support - seamless integration with ARA2 plugins.
Also new in Pyramix 15: Upgraded Strip and Bus Tools - support for up to 32 channels, channel selection, a new UI, and one-click access to five preferred presets; Reengineered Merging VS3 Plugins - redesigned and optimized for better performance; Side Chain Support - available for VS3/VST3/VST2 plugins in MassCore & Native mode, including multichannel support with channel selection; Enhanced Monitoring Section - speaker group mute/solo features for multichannel workflows, ideal for Dolby Atmos production; New Final Check Tool - revamped interface with multichannel support; New Video Engine - overhauled for improved performance and reliability. The update also brings numerous bug fixes for a smoother, more stable user experience.
Pyramix 15 is available as a Native (ASIO/Windows-based) DAW and comes in three software packs: Elements, Pro, and Premium. It can also run with the MassCore real-time engine, supporting up to 384 I/O at ultra-low latencies with Ravenna/AES67/ST2110 compatibility.
