Ron Austin to Speak at NATEAC Conference Dinner

Ron Austin, executive director of the Lincoln Center Development Project is slated to speak at the North American Theatre Engineering and Architecture Conference dinner. The dinner will be held at the iconic Sardi's Restaurant on Monday, July 21st.

Mr. Austin, a construction management veteran specializing in performance venues, was named executive director of the Lincoln Center Development Project Inc in 2007.  The project includes West 65th Street, Josie Robertson Plaza and Columbus Avenue frontage (Promenade Project), the Central Mechanical Plant, as well as the Harmony Atrium initiatives.

Prior to Lincoln Center, he oversaw completion of construction for the Carnival Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, Florida and has provided executive leadership in the construction of several performing arts centers around the country including the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, the Aronoff Center for the Arts in Cincinnati and the Schuster Center for the Arts in Dayton.

Bill Sapsis, NATEAC director, commented: "The addition of Ron Austin to the roster of speakers provides a wonderful cap to the conference. His experience in working with Performing Arts Centers is perfectly aligned with the mission statement of the conference and his talk at the dinner, the culminating event of the conference, promises to be one of the conference highlights."

NATEAC is a two-day Conference that will bring together over 60 of the leaders in the Architectural, Engineering and Consulting fields to discuss the issues faced in designing and building performance venues in North America in the 21st century.
